Stella McCartney's New adidas Clogs Keep Things Floral
Taking inspiration from the coast of South Korea.
Stella McCartney has reconnected with adidas to present a pair of brand-new Clogs, taking inspiration from the coast of South Korea and the women who free-dive for their food daily.
Over recent years, Stella McCartney has worked with various footwear brands, showcasing her design talents across a slew of different silhouettes. For example, the British womenswear designer has worked with the likes of Prada and Hunter, while her long-standing relationship with adidas has welcomed impressive collaborations across a Stan Smith silhouette and even a full pre-match football collection with Arsenal.
Now, Stella McCartney’s latest collaboration with adidas welcomes a new pair of Clogs, with the slip-on design taking inspiration from those who dive on the coast of South Korea, not only for fish but for garbage, too. The shoes have been designed with a lightweight feel, while the grippy outsole makes them versatile enough for walks throughout the city or beach.
Additionally, the shoes are also made with natural and renewable materials and they have been spread across the one-piece bio-based EVA upper, synthetic lining and outsole, and the overarching foot strap. Rounding off the design, a combination of “Tent Green,” “Crew Orange,” and “Cloud White” has been used to complement the shoe’s customary branding on the outsole and insole, while the upper is also finished with a selection of air holes to provide a breathable fit.
