Broken Planet Heads Stateside for New "Space Trails" Collection

Taking inspiration from the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ franchise.

Broken Planet, one of the UK’s most internet-savvy streetwear labels, has just presented its latest collection titled “Space Trails,” and it sees the brand take inspiration from the Grand Theft Auto franchise for the campaign imagery.

As a brand that was launched during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Broken Planet has had odds stacked against it while being faced with the task of rising to the top of the saturated world we call UK streetwear. However, priding itself on its highly-sustainable processes — in both garment production and post-purchase shipping — BP has garnered a loyal fanbase that has followed it around the world, arriving in masses at globally-held pop-up stores.

With this in mind, the latest collection from Broken Planet has been released once again through a sustainably-focused lens, however, it’s not been made obvious. “We don’t even mention our sustainability anymore, I think people just get it and trust us,” Broken Planet told Hypebeast in an interview last year. “We don’t do it to make sure we get sales, we just use sustainability to help our thought process internally and to know that’s how we make decisions — we don’t think that we need to scream and shout about it.”

The collection utilizes a collection of recycled materials and environmentally-conscious production methods, used to unveil a new line of jersey that showcases the brand’s synonymous and bold text branding in various colorways.

Collection highlights welcome the brand’s new “Soot Black” colorway as well as two brand-new styles of “Agave Green” and “Cinder Brown.” The latter features a graphic of a mountain range with “Cosmic Peaks” written across the front. Meanwhile, each hoodie comes with corresponding trousers in each respective colorway, and rounding off the drop, Broken Planet introduces an updated version of its classic Planet Zip-Up with pint puff detailing and two-way zip functionality.

You can take a closer look at the new Broken Planet collection above and it will available to shop via the brand’s website from April 30 at 8 p.m. GMT.
