Nike Officially Signs Erling Haaland as Its Latest Football Athlete

Making him heir to the brand’s world-famous number 9 — the next-generation striker.

Sports

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has officially signed to the next generation of Nike’s elite football roster, joining the likes of Kylian Mbappé, Marcus Rashford, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kevin De Bruyne.

As per the Nike website, Haaland has been signed to its roster of superstars due to the “record-breaking goal-scoring record that has cemented his stamp on the future of the game.”

Since debuting for his hometown club, Bryne, in Norway, Haaland has dominated the scoring charts in Austria, Germany, and now England, as he continues to stand as a force of nature by becoming the youngest player — at 22 years old — to score 30 goals in Europe’s premier club competition.

Additionally, Haaland’s commitment to holistic fitness has boosted his strengths on the pitch, prizing himself on his goal-scoring, instincts, power, positioning, and pace.

Rumors about Haaland joining the Nike team have been surfacing for some time now. However, amid the noise, the baller has been seen rotating boots from PUMA, adidas, and Nike, while the athlete was biding his time on deciding which sports manufacturer to sign with permanently.

However, now Haaland has certified himself as an all-round record breaker in the beautiful game, he has officially signed with the Swoosh, making him heir to the brand’s world-famous number 9 — the next-generation striker.

In other sports news, tickets for Arsenal’s final Premier League game of the season are selling for £53,000 GBP.
