J.L-A.L_ Takes HOKA's Tor Ultra Boot Into the Wilderness
Marking the duo’s first collaboration.
Following initial teasers shared earlier this month, HOKA is ready to present its collaboration with emerging U.K. designer Jean-Luc Ambridge. The duo reimagines the former’s multi-functional Tor Ultra boot through an outdoor-ready lens that combines wearability and protection for all-terrain adventures.
J.L-A.L_’s experimental viewpoints are found across the collaboration, which arrives in high-top and low-top variations in alfresco-inspired colorways that channel nature’s diverse landscapes. In addition, the brand reflects its tech-forward design language at every point, keeping innovation at the forefront.
HOKA’s Tor Ultra hiking boot is transformed with comfort in mind, featuring GORE-TEX underpinnings for resistance against all surprises. Full-grain leather sits atop and sports medial perforations for increased ventilation while on the move. Waterproof mudguards contrast textured J.L-A.L_-branded rear panels, while advanced cushioning is injected into each pair for additional stability in rough conditions.
3M HOKA branding hits the tongues accented with sturdy rope laces and Vibram® MegaGrip hi-traction outsoles for an unbeatable outdoor experience.
Designed in two colorways, the low-top variation arrives in a dusty “Dune” palette, while its counterpart sees night sky-inspired “Aurora” hues that mirror the enchanting Northern Lights.
Take a closer look at the J.L-A.L_ x HOKA collaboration in the gallery above. Both models will be available online via J.L-A.L_ and Slam Jam on January 19. The boots will land at globe retail partners on January 20.
Elsewhere, Clints’ new Stomper silhouette sits pretty in pink, orange, green, and more.
