London Fashion Week FW23 Street Style
Dynamic hues and modern day tailoring is prominently emphasized during the week.
London Fashion Week marks the beginning of fashion month for the Fall/Winter 2023 season. Editors, stylists, influencers and fashion week attendees alike came to the British fashion capital to attend some of the most exciting events of the season, including Daniel Lee’s Burberry debut and the Moncler Genius collaborative event.
As the weather transitions into spring, light layers were the common denominator amongst most outfits. With the warmer weather approaching, big winter coats have become less frequent, while denim, bomber and leather jackets were a staple amongst most attendees. Trench jackets were fitting for an overcoat substitute, especially in the British capital. Leather jackets came in many forms, including the racing bike silhouette as well as in oversized bombers and blazers. Cardigans and thick sweaters were just enough to keep attendees fashionable, yet warm, for LFW.
Across the spectrum of colors, some showed up in vibrant and dynamic hues, while others stayed true to the monochromatic pairings, playing around with dramatic textures and shapes to draw attention to their outfits. While most of the time, London fashion is heavily associated with the Saville Row aesthetic, LFW has evolved into showcasing vintage-inspired pieces for a more laidback and casual look. The modern-day trouser and untucked button-up pairing showcased to be a hit. Tailoring continues to be redefined with the present-day baggy silhouette.
