Mystery Premier League Footballer Releases Debut Single "Thrill"

Fans continue to guess which baller is performing under the pseudonym, DIDE.

A mystery Premier League footballer has just gone viral on social media after he released a song under the pseudonym, DIDE.

The player — who is yet to reveal his identity — describes himself as a “rapper at home, footballer on the pitch” on his Instagram account. And while the footballer is yet to come clean about his music passion, fans have quickly discovered that the rhymer plays for one of the Premier League’s London-based clubs as his recently-dropped visuals for his new record “Thrill” take to the streets of the UK’s capital.

Various names have been mentioned about who the rapper could be, with the likes of Wilfred Zaha, Noni Madueke, and Reiss Nelson all being rumored, however, Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah seems to be the fan-favorite.

For the track itself, the steady-rolling rap joint, “Thrill,” is DIDE’s new single that is described as giving an insight into his life behind the scenes. Touching on how his “team stays winning,” DIDE uses his ball knowledge to great effect as he refers to the likes of Neymar and Harry Kane.

If the identity of DIDE was ever to be revealed, it wouldn’t be the first professional footballer to make his way into the music game. For example, the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Jese Rodriguez have all tried their hand at it, while Memphis Depay, who releases songs under his own name, has gone on to achieve big numbers with regular releases.

You can check out the new music video from DIDE above and in other music news, check out the new single from rising UK rapper, Strandz
