PICANTE Blends the Old With the New for Asorted SS23 Lookbook
Taking inspiration from Americana with Italian nuances.
London-based streetwear brand PICANTE has unveiled a new Spring/Summer 2023 lookbook and it sees the brand expand its mainline of apparel offerings like never before as it merges contemporary pieces with more street-inspired designs.
Recently, Jude Taylor and Saam Zonoozi‘s imprint has continuously pushed industry boundaries by offering various styles, for various occasions. For example, PICANTE has recently stepped into the world of knitwear for the first time, explored the great outdoors with exploration-focused designs, and even presented its very own drinks beverage, “PICANTES.”
Now, PICANTE is showing its love for food in its latest lookbook by capturing its new shots in a quaint Italian restaurant. Showcasing 10 new looks, the collection takes overall inspiration from Americana with Italian nuances. The collection sees the return of PICANTE’s popular Arch design with a vintage-style cracked print, while the use of sun-faded dye techniques gives an already-worn appearance to supply a “future vintage” feel.
The Fratelli motif — a design that encapsulates PICANTE founders Saam and Jude’s brotherhood — is included heavily throughout the collection, with hoodies, T-shirts, straight-leg sweat pants, and reversible raglan sweatshirts featuring the globe logo on the chest with the PICANTE arch.
Meanwhile, two new unstructured 5-panel caps are included alongside a new Cabana shirt in “Ivory” a vintage-style check shirt, and double-pleated straight-leg trousers. Summer-ready lace shirts are welcomed and the brand’s Forge knitted sweater in “Grey Marl” with a white boucle “P” logo come with a restock of the original black and “Ivory” colorways to round off the collection.
You can take a closer look at the new lookbook from PICANTE above and it is available to shop via the brand’s official website now.
