size?'s New adidas Originals Archive Mexicana "Cinco de Mayo" Celebrates Mexican Heritage

Referencing the celebration which marks Mexico’s victory over the French Empire in 1862.

UK-based retailer size? has just presented its latest adidas Originals Archive release, and this time the collaboration takes inspiration from one of the biggest days in the Mexican calendar: Cinco de Mayo, which translates to “Fifth of May.”

Recently, size? has been keeping busy with a slew of high-profile collaborations. From its long-lasting relationship with New Balance — seen most recently in the teased 580 silhouettes — to its regular releases with adidas, size? has continued to remain at the forefront of popularity thanks to its versatile drops that often appeal to various demographics.

Now, size?’s latest release references the celebration which marks Mexico’s victory over the French Empire in 1862. Unveiling two new pairs of adidas Mexicana’s in vibrant orange and purple colorways, both pairs welcome additional hues of red, yellow, and green.

Meanwhile, the uppers are also covered in suede and speckles of leather are applied to the customary Three Stripe branding on the lateral sides and heel counter. Golden foil Mexicana branding rounds off the pairs, and this can be spotted on the laterals and gum rubber soles that continue to extend the terrace nostalgia that’s associated with the silhouette.

You can take a closer look at the adidas Originals Archive Mexicana “Cinco de Mayo” in the gallery above and the sneakers will be available to shop via the official size? raffle that opens on April 29 and closes on May 5.
