Tickets for Arsenal's Final Premier League Game of the Season Are Selling For £53,000 GBP

As fans are desperate to see Arsenal possibly lift its first league title since 2004.

Tickets for Arsenal Football Club’s last game of the Premier League season are reselling at an all-time high as the current league leaders close in on their first Premier League winners medal since the club’s historic 2003/04 “Invincibles” season.

Mikel Arteta’s side currently sits eight points clear of current champions Manchester City in the Premier League title race, although The Gunners also have a game in hand at this moment in time. However, with much excitement floating around the Arsenal fan base, some chancers have listed their tickets on sale for huge profits, with fans that want to purchase a second-hand ticket having to pay more than £1000 GBP on average.

Usually, most tickets to watch Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium cost £131 GBP in the upper tier, but one fan has listed their ticket for a staggering £53,000 GBP.

The Gunners have around 40,000 season ticket holders, leaving just 20,000 tickets for the reported 40,000 silver ticket members, who pay £54 GBP per year to have second option on tickets for games. However, as expected, first-hand tickets for the final day of the season meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers — and a potential lifting of the Premier League trophy — were quickly snapped up.

Acknowledging the problems many Arsenal fans are facing regarding attending games at the Emirates this season, Arsenal said in a statement: “We are continuing to clamp down on ticket touting to protect honest match-going supporters. We recognize the demand for tickets is at unprecedented levels and we have been working to combat the activities by bots and touts.

“This has resulted in 100,000 suspected bots being blocked from the ticketing site in recent weeks. A significant number of season ticket and membership accounts have also been banned for suspicious touting activity.”
